This four-part series includes comprehensive information on first aid, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and psychological health.

NFL Coaching Academy Playbook
In 2003 the NFL and the National Football Foundation teamed up to elevate the quality of coaching at the youth and high school levels with the Coaching Academy Playbook. The curriculum stresses the game's social benefits and character-building attributes, as well as the Xs and Os of football.
Positive Coaching Alliance
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is transforming youth sports so sports can transform youth. The Positive Coaching Alliance was established at Stanford University in 1998. PCA believes that winning is a goal in youth sports but that there is a second, more important goal of using sports to teach life lessons through positive coaching.
Youth Sports Research Council
The Youth Sports Research Council was founded in 1983. It is a division of the Department of Exercise Science and Sports Studies at Rutgers University. The YSRC develops, synthesizes, and disseminates scientific research about the influence of physical activity and organized sports on the healthy development of children and adolescents. Our award-winning educational programs are designed for recreation directors, coaches, parents, and administrators of youth sports leagues.
